Well I know some of you have been getting a little antsy to see some more pictures of the little man, so here you go. Declan has been doing awesome, eating well (8lbs already! Great Job Sara!) Sleeping well, (one stretch last night was 5hrs!)

Well things are going to start to get hectic here in the next few days with our little guy on the way. We are definitely excited for him to come out, even Bella has yelled at mommy's tummy "Baby Brother, get OUT!"

Well it was our 5 year anniversary yesterday! A few weeks back we were able to use a place up at Silver Star Mountain for the weekend. Sara got a little surprise!

Well September has blown by in a hurry and we've been having fun so that probably why, here are some of the event of last month! The last few weeks have been busy, I got a new car that needed some serious cleaning.(pics to come sometime soon) Uncle Duane, and Aunt Diane came to see us, and we had a wedding last weekend = Friends staying with us. Crazyness.

We went to Tofino on Vancouver Island for the long weekend. I got to Surf!

Hello all, here are some pics from the last few weeks!

Week 30!

Sara & Bella @ the park. While we were at the park this time, Matt & I decided to relax on the grass while Bella ran around and went down the slides and climbed up ladders. We started throwing the little pebbles that surround the play structure and picking different targets to try and hit. At some point Bella noticed what we were doing and very sternly told us to "Stop throwing rocks!" Since I still had one in my hand, I went ahead and threw my last one. Bella saw my disobedience, came flying down the slide and marched over to where we were sitting and told me "You didn't listen and oooobey!" She grabbed my hand and I was suddenly being walked across the playground to an area where I had to sit all on my own. She then informed me "You have a time out!" and gave me instructions that I had to "Stay here until I come and get you!" and then went back over to continue playing. That one last rock throw earned my 10 minutes in a time out! I wasn't getting up, considering I expected her to "listen and obey" and since I hadn't modelled the behaviour I wanted I sure better show an example of how I wanted her to behave when she gets her own time outs...

Life This Month

We are FINALLY getting some good weather this month. We've been taking advantage of the sun and gone to the beach pretty much every weekend day, and most of the weekdays. Here are some pictures of our last month.

Camas to the Silverton

It has been a busy few months! In June we got to drive down to Camas/Portland to see Mom & Dad Bundy & Tim and Susie & family (who had all either driven or flown out for the week), and Grandma Bundy, Uncle Duane & Aunt Diane. We had such a great time seeing everyone who was able to make it out, and Bella was in 7th heaven spending the week with her cousins. On the ways up and down we were able to catch up with friends too.

Last weekend we drove out to Silverton, where Matt's Aunt Marilyn & Uncle Ted have a house. Mom & Dad Lunde, and Matt's cousins from Nelson came out too, and we had a great few days with them. We had to come home early when Bella got a stomach flu (which she was kind enough to pass on to me).

Matt and I have been trying to figure out how to get Bella to give up her soother, which we've let her hold on to up till now for sleep times. She made that decision for us about 3 weeks ago when she bit a big chunk out of one of them... we decided to go cold turkey. We let her keep the broken one so she can see that it's broken, and she's done great - except that naps look like they may have gone in the trash along with the soother. We're working on establishing a "quiet time", since I would still like to take my nap...

Oh yeah, and we shot the photos for a wedding somewhere in the last couple weeks.

We are FINALLY getting some nice weather here. Here are some pictures from the last month or so...

We drove out with a few of our neighbours to Davison Orchard. Bella spent the whole time in the playground. She usually loves the animals, but this time she said that they were "TOO LOUD!"

Our friends Ash and Melissa got married in Kelowna a few weeks ago. Bella had a great time at the rehearsal dinner (which was right on the beach) and spent the night throwing sand and preforming for the other people who were there.

Matt and I at the actual wedding. Wilf and Aileen were kind enough to watch Bella for the day (and a sleepover) since Matt was in the wedding and we were running around all day. It was finally a sunny weekend.

Bella can now climb anything... the only problem is that most of the time she wants you to do it with her. I don't know how many times I climbed the little climbing wall and went down the slide that was way too small for an adult.

Calgary Christmas

This Christmas our family was able to go to Calgary and spend Christmas with Nana and Papa Bundy for the first time in 3 years, and the first time ever for Bella. We had a blast! Friends of the family generously let us use their beautiful home for the 2 weeks we were all there. David and Kristi also came up for South Carolina and we got to see them and the little baby bump Baby B is starting to make. Since we were there for a lot longer than usual, we were also able to see a lot of friends and get quality time in with people, although it never does feel like enough. We started missing everyone already on our drive back home. The next week we were able to do a Vernon Christmas with Omi and Opa Lunde, and Uncle Ted and Aunt Marilyn. We really do love having family so close, and having Mom and Dad in Calgary for at least this year. So... here are some Better-late-than-never Christmas pictures!

Life here has been busy and full of excitement - especially when we get the chance to experience everything with Bella. She is so full of energy, and loves learning. 4 Years!

Last Friday (October 22) was our 4 year anniversary! To celebrate, we relaxed. :) We spent the afternoon at Kaloya park where we were married, and it was really fun to be back where our little family started, with Bella (yes, we brought her along). Things have sure changed in 4 years for us! It was a beautiful day again, so we got to run around and walk the trail around the little park and have fun together before we all went out for dinner to celebrate. It has been a great 4 years.

Winter is coming on too fast here. It is already snowing up at Silver Star (only a 30 minute drive from our front door), and I am NOT READY. Bella is doing great. After the weight she lost from being so sick last month, she has put it all back on in a month. Below are some pictures from our last week.

A few weeks ago we got to go to Calgary to visit Mom & Dad/Nana & Papa. We were greeted by SNOW the very next morning when we got up... We had a great time, although it never seems long enough.

Bella has been sleeping in her big bed for the last 3 weeks, and has been doing GREAT! She hasn't gotten out once, and is so proud of herself, and actually seems to be sleeping better (might have something to do with the pillow-top mattress she has, which we got for a really good price). As a result, we've had to "re-do" her room. We got her a new set of bedding (which we'll post pictures of soon), and put up a few wall decals, a fancy mirror from a garage sale, and that's about it. She looks so small in her bed..

Well, I have amazing friends who made it possible for Matt, Bella and me to come down to California for the Class of 2000, 10 year reunion! It was SO GOOD to see everyone, for Matt to meet people he'd always heard me talk about, for our kids and husbands to get together, and our kids to play together. After the weekend, we got to go see Tim, Susie, Toby, Asher and meet Cora!

Well we've had some excitement around here the last couple weeks that's for sure! For the long weekend we went out to my aunt and uncles house in Silverton to meet up with the family there. My cousins Steve, Ajay and his wife Janet were out there, and they have a 6 year old (Ryder) and a l month older than Bella Girl (Jersey). So of course Isabella had a ton of fun, oh and there were 3 dogs she got to play with as well. Definitely a great time!

Hey all, its been a while since we posted some pics, i dunno where the time goes but here is what we've been up to in the last little while! Enjoy!

Bella has really been loving the Push/Pull toys, and the idea of "walking" them around. This morning I bent down to give her a kiss goodbye before I headed for work, and she saw my necklace... or in her eyes, a pull string. She grabbed my necklace, turned around, and walked me around the house - all the way down the hall and back again and then around the island, laughing the whole time. She thought it was hilarious!

Bella has had a lot of fun this week! We went for a walk up at Predator Ridge where she got to pick up pinecones. Matt took her across the street to feed miniature horses (pictures to come!). She has learned to LOVE eating with a fork. She got three new teeth this week too!

I went back to work this week, so this was also Bella's first week going to daycare. She goes there three days a week, spends Thursdays with Aileen (Omi) and Fridays with her Daddy. She's had a great time at daycare where she has a whole new room of toys and friends to play with. I miss seeing her all the time though!

Like Andrew Bundy, Bella is a FIERCE hugger, which we love. She dances... all the time. She loves being in on the joke, and if someone else is laughing, she is too (the fakest most forced laugh you'll ever hear, it's hilarious). She is great at kicking her little stuffed soccer ball around the house, and we're convinced she's going to be the next female Maradona. Toilet Humor

Bella seems to have a thing for bathrooms. She likes drumming on the toilet lids, and hitting the flap of the garbage can lid so it swings back and forth. Like Andrew did, she loves unrolling the toilet paper. Recently she has discovered the toilet bowl brush, and the plunger in the guest bathroom. We've done well at never letting her get too close. One time she managed to grab the handle of the plunger, and then we had her. She KNOWS she's not supposed to touch them.

Fast-forward to tonight... Bella and I were playing in her room, and she decided to go for a walk with one of her books. She PRETENDED like she was going towards the kitchen. I walked out of her room and started to lead the way. I happened to glance back at her, and she was standing there watching me. All of a sudden she smiled, dropped her book and literally RAN to the bathroom!! I don't think I've ever seen her move that fast! I had only been about 5 feet in front of her, and she had made it to the plunger by the time I grabbed her!! She's only 11 months (this weekend). I think we're in trouble with this one! I'm pretty sure we're done with "redirecting" her, and we're going to just lock them under the sink.

I wonder what she'll discover next...

Seattle and Beyond

A few weeks ago we headed down south to Seattle and spent a weekend with Joey, Sara, Riah and not-so-little Doren. We had a GREAT time (thanks again guys!), and I got to see and hold Doren and Elena for the first times. Here are some pictures of our trip, and of us just hanging out at home.

7 things about ME

Amy tagged me, so I guess I have to post 7 things you may not know about me!

1. I don't really remember what my actual hair color is... dying my hair is one of my ways of constantly changing things up without always doing something permanent, and I love it!

2. I was in choir and the "elite" vocal group in high school... thankfully the arts were cool there.

3. I used to play the piano pretty well. I think I was in the 8th level of conservatory music here in Canada for those of you who know what that means, and had taken enough exams that I could have taught theory (is that what it's called?? It's been so long I don't even remember!!). It's been so long since I've played that I'd probably have to start from scratch again.

4. I went on 2 weekish backpacking trips twice while I was going to University, and went the full time each time without a shower. Ugh. At least we all smelled the same. And I DID swim in lakes, so maybe that counts?

5. I got married after dating my husband for 10 months, and it was the best decision I've ever made. I think I won the lottery and got the most amazing guy! Plus, it didn't take long to get used to my new name, since it's only two letters difference.

6. I look about 10 years younger than I am. I'm sure I'll appreciate it in 30 years, but right now it's just a cause for some awkward situations. No, I was NOT born in 1990, and no my parents are NOT home.

7. If I could justify it, I would probably own at least 200 pairs of shoes. I love them, and true love lasts a lifetime.

The long awaited video (a week is long these days... I've got some impatient family... coughAMYcough) is here! Along with other pictures and short movies for your viewing pleasure. Isabella started walking last weekend! As always, she has waited until she is confident to grace us with her talents. Two days after she REALLY walked for the first time (more than two wobbly steps that were more like stumbles) she walked a good 15-20 feet and around at least one corner to find me in the kitchen. She's had some good falls, but she's loving her new freedom.

More Steps

Ok, the video is still in the works. Isabella is seriously distracted by any kind of camera pointed her way, or else we try and get it right before she goes to bed when she is in NO MOOD to perform.

But she's getting good!

Today I left her standing at our couch and went to get her breakfast. All of a sudden I hear what I think is the sound of her hands slapping the floor as she crawls over. I turn to look, and she is already HALF WAY ACROSS THE KITCHEN. From our couch!! Those of you who know our place realize what I'm saying here... she walked 15-20 feet by herself, AND turned at least one corner to come into the kitchen (may have been more if she walked around the chair too). WHAT??!! She would have gone further, but I panicked (since she was now walking on tile, and I wasn't close enough to catch her if she face planted), and ran to pick her up. She practically runs when she "walks". Maybe she got that from her Uncle Peter?

Next thing I know I'll walk in to find her reading books out loud to herself...

Christmas and More

Christmas seems to have snuck up on us this year. With our trip to California, and the surprising lack of snow (but no lack of cold temperatures) I still felt like I had a lot of time to get things together. Then Amy mentioned in her blog that we only had 9 more sleeps... WHAT! Needless to say, I did some shopping on the 23rd, and we relied on Matt's parents for the Christmas baking... I'll plan better next year! On Christmas day we had breakfast and opened presents as a family, and then headed over to Matt's parents to do gifts with the rest of the family in Vernon. Here are some pictures of our last few weeks!

Last month, Bella and I went for a little adventure down to California. Bella was AMAZING on the plane rides (which was a VERY good thing since I was by myself with her). Happy CANADIAN Thanksgiving everyone!! We are so thankful for our family and friends, and this weekend we celebrated you all with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, pie... twice! You all are that special!

As Amy said tonight, "What? You have a blog?". We know, we know... so here is a long overdue post of new pictures.

We decided to drive to Calgary to visit friends and family a few weekends ago. We thought we would go BEFORE it snowed. We got there just in time for Bella's FIRST snow. I was freezing, but she didn't seem to mind!

Bella's two front bottom teeth came in last month, and it looks like she's working on the top ones now. As a result, there was about a week or two where she sucked on her upper gums. Here are a few of the faces we caught her making, hahaha!

Growing Up

Bella has been going crazy chewing on anything and everything that she can get her hands on for the past few days. Last night, FINALLY, her two front bottom teeth broke through! Two at one time! She doesn't mess around. We're expecting the top two any day now, since she's still chewing like crazy and I swear I can feel them right under the surface. Anyway, here are some of the pictures from the past week!

Matt and I did a little photo shoot with Bells yesterday, since it was nice out. I had made a little tutu for her, for whenever she starts to want to play dressup (I know, it won't be for a while), and so we put her out in the grass and got the film rolling. She might not know what "dressup" is yet, but she definitely likes chewing on her new skirt! Here are some of our favorite shots (keep in mind, there is only so much you can get a 5 1/2 month old to do for the camera, so they're all similar!). ;)

Our Trip - a month late...

Yep, it's been a while since we've updated. We've been so busy getting in the last few days of summer that this is the first time we've taken the time to actually upload the pictures from our camera! Last month Sara's parents came through on their way down to Camas, WA. They spent the night, and then Sara and Bella hitched a ride down south with them to celebrate Grandma Bundy's 85th birthday with her! They they headed back up to Seattle and spent the weekend with David and Kristi (thanks guys! I'm sure all you needed was more company in the middle of a packing frenzy!). Next, Matt drove down and met up with Sara and Bella, and spent the weekend with Sara, Joey and Riah down in Maple Valley. Thanks Mark and Carol for letting us all take over your house while you were gone! We spent the weekend hanging out on the beach of the lake right outside the back doors. All in all, it was two weeks of Sara and Bella being gone! It will be a while before we do that again... Here are some pictures from last month.

Exciting News on the Lunde Home front!

Well, WE think it's exciting - Isabella is rolling! And rolling. Every time we've put her on her stomach we've made a point of rolling her so that she gets used to the feel of it. Not sure if that made any difference, but we sure felt like old pros doing it. On Monday, Bella decided she was going to do it on her own (which is funny, because she really doesn't like being on her stomach). We sat there watching her (REALLY wanting to help) strain for 30-45 minutes, and then suddenly she had it! She rolled from her back onto her stomach, and then right back again! It was funny to watch her, so started kicking and smiling really big and was incredibly proud of herself (we're pretty proud too). Ever since then she keeps rolling back and forth any time she's left to fend for herself. She's also started doing circles in bed during the night, and ends up having her head where her feet were when we go in to get her in the morning. More pictures coming soon!
